Mr. Anurag Goel has 52 years of rich and varied experience spanning industry, academia, and consultancy. Currently, he serves as an independent corporate consultant specialising in innovation and growth and also the Vice Chairman of Pan IIT Alumni India and Chairman of Steering Committee of IIT Kanpur Alumni Convention 2024 where more than 800 IITK alumni participated. A self-motivated corporate professional with entrepreneurial zeal, Mr. Goel is dedicated to providing value-added services to industry, research, and academics. He passionately advocates that in today’s rapidly changing, highly competitive, liberalised global economy, a flexible mindset geared toward continuous improvement and innovation, combined with skills in Total Quality and Cost Leadership, is essential for managers, executives, and employees. His approach empowers them to contribute effectively to improving the bottom line and achieving sustained long-term corporate growth.
Mr. Goel completed his B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering in 1971. His proactive efforts in addressing IIT Kanpur alumni issues have consistently delivered impactful results. Notably, in March 2013, he organised the IITK Convention at IIT Delhi, attracting nearly 1,350 participants. Almost 40 years ago, he initiated monthly local gatherings for IITK alumni in Ghaziabad, demonstrating his exceptional ability to involve others in alumni activities.
In recognition of his stellar contribution in facilitating Alumni Engagement and Community Building, IIT Kanpur confers upon Mr. Anurag Goel the Distinguished Services Award 2024.
